So, here I am feeling yukkey about not blogging for months, when I come across “Blogging Without Obligation”.

http://www.tartx.com/blog/?page_id=233

Makes me feel sooo connected to all of you who stress about it. Check this out and feel better, Y’all.

Did you hear that “Southern” coming out?  Yep! I have moved back to my hometown of Minden, Louisiana. Living with my 88 year old Mom.  :-\ , waiting for my apartment to be finished.

Spending 8 – 10 hours each day rebuilding/transforming my Dad’s old workshop into a workshop/studio for me. Pop died Nov. 2007.  I am very close to finishing; except, is any project ever finished if your ADD?

Will be working on a pdf of before and after pictures.

Stay tuned…or not.

So, maybe I wont create a separate blog after all

I mean, really.

The name of this blog IS “Transformations” isn’t it?

That covers a lot of life.

In fact, it covers life.

That is, if we are really searching for growth, self knowledge and awareness in this lifetime.

Having said that, I give you a bit of history, which brought me to my present feelings about health and wellness.

When I was growing up in a very small town, the doctor’s words were absolute and unquestioned.

Then I moved to California.

After years of specialists separating me into different parts; my California MD referred me to the Chinese Physician, who practiced right there in the MD’s office.

After taking my medical history, she explained how each symptom was connected to the others. I broke down and cried. For the first time in many years, I began to feel like a whole being.

My Medical Doctors included so much more in their offices, such as Massage Therapists, Ayurvedic Physicians, Nutritional testing and products. It was amazing and wonderful.

I began studying anatomy, physiology, oriental medicine, several styles of massage therapy, energy healing, six other types of body work, and attended dozens and dozens of health seminars.

In every class, book, or seminar the most important thing I kept learning over and over, is, that we are pure energy, as is the entire universe.

These experiences gave me a deeper understanding of our bodies as pure energy, and the need for us to take responsibility for our own health, wellness, and peace of mind.

I hope the information and articles here will bring the readers to that same understanding.

Why the name “Transformations” ?

Filed under: Transformations — Mknze @ 12:44 pm
My daughter suggested about three years ago that I should write an online newsletter. When I thought of deadlines and their accompanying urgency to write something quick, I panicked!
So what could I call it, if it wasn’t a ‘newsletter’? Then as if in answer to my question, I discovered a new word, “Blog”.
What a perfect vehicle for my musings and mutterings.
No deadlines…..Yesss!
Journal entries when (and if) I feel like it. Yesss!
But, what could I call it? You know? Like a name, a word, a title?
Mknze’s Blog? Puhleeze. I don’ sink so.
Then, one day, I had just turned a table over on it’s side to paint it a different color, yet again. I spoke softly to the table. (Yep, you heard correctly. I do talk to objects and if you find that worrisome, you can stop right here.) Anyway, what I said to the table was this: “Well old friend, here we go with another transformation; a new life in a new room in a different house. I promise to do my very best to make you beautiful again this time.”
Then the word hit me…. “Transformations”“Transformations” seems to be the perfect name for what I do every day.
Over the years, I have transformed paint and canvas into works of art, buildings, yards, houses, rooms, walls, windows, furniture, fabric, and a multitude of ordinary objects into functional things of beauty.
And now, I am transforming photographs into digital works of art, and beads, fibers, wire, etc. into jewelry.
Not to mention the fact that lately, I have been transforming the pure red clay in my back yard into pure red mud. I used to love gardening.
The only constant in life is change, which is transforming. If we are not changing, we are not learning; we are not growing.
I am daily attempting to transform me.
