Precious metals clay actually has no 'clay' in it. The original PMC was created by the Mitsubishi family of Japan. It is made up of silver or gold particles mixed with water and an organic binder. Once it is fired in a kiln, the binder burns away it becomes pure silver or gold. Sterling silver is .925 silver. This silver is .999, also known as 'fine silver'. I am continually learning more about the capacities of this wonderful medium.
