Polymer Clay is a modern modeling material that bakes hard without a Kiln.
The basic ingredient is polyvinyl chloride (PVC),
the same stuff that water pipes are made of.
There are other ingredients too, of course.
I purchase most of my clay and clayworking tools at The Clay Store.
One of the fascinating bits of info about this material is that,
in the hands of the right artists,
it can appear to imitate many of the semi precious stones.
There are polymer clay artists right now who are breaking through
the boundaries of what we think can be done with this medium,
and creating remarkable and exquisite pieces of art.
I hope to become one of those artists.
