Mknze Designs is the culmination of a lifelong passion for creativity and design. McKenzie Leopold is a multi-faceted designer who has pursued a wide variety of creative outlets.
Early on, McKenzie worked with various media to produce art using oil, pen & ink, watercolor, colored pencils, and gouache. Her portraits, florals and designs won awards, and were showcased in art shows across the country. Her other creative passions include renovation contracting, landscape and interior design, staging, painted furniture & floorcloths, pattern & textile design, card & poster design, and jewelry design.
"I feel extremely fortunate to have been in one of the first groups of ten students, to study under John Howard Sanden, in his Carnegie Hall Studios, in New York City, in the mid seventies." She began painting professionally soon after.
She is one of the first members of The Portrait IInstitute, a charter member of the New York City Women in Design, a member of Art Professionals Worldwide, and The Professional Fine Arts Network.
She is now branching out into the world of corporate art; and, 'official' portraits for corporations, universities, banks, and the military.
She never stops searching for more information and ways to learn. "When I stop studying and learning, I will be dead."
There aren’t enough hours in the day or days in the week to flesh out the multitude of ideas that pass through a creative mind.
Be sure to check out Transformations, her blog, for mutterings about all of the above subjects...
